We’re excited to tell you about a new project at Agua Viva! Soon we’ll begin the process of converting Casa Josue into a daycare center. This idea has been in the works for some time, but Covid put the plans on hold for a while. Thankfully, however, we recently filed all the necessary paperwork for the project. Our last step is to prepare the daycare space for governmental inspection and approval so we can be ready when Covid restrictions lift, and groups of children are on campus once more.

A daycare program will be a great asset to our community because we’ll be able to provide much needed help to families who require childcare while they’re at work. This ministry will fit well with our mission of offering aid to at-risk children in our community. Our daycare will be called “The Garden of Hope” because we know God will use us to nurture the children both physically and spiritually by providing:

     A safe and caring environment for children ages 1-4
     Early childhood development
     Nutritious meals
     Education and encouragement for parents

Casa Josue needs a new paint job, a new roof, as well as remodeling in the bathroom area that includes lower sinks and small toilets to accommodate little children. The total estimated cost for this project is $15,000. Please help us to reach our fundraising goal so we’re ready to offer this important service as soon as the government grants us final approval.  Please note: All our buildings are over 20 years old and are still in great shape except for the roofs. Once they are replaced, we should be able to continue using these buildings for ministry for another 20 years! In the future we’ll start to raise funds to replace the old roofs and gutters on our six other buildings.
