Introducing "Project Tres,” a fundraiser with the goal of raising $35,000 to make three essential repairs and improvements at Agua Viva. We want to be faithful stewards of the beautiful campus God has given us so we can continue to serve the children and families of our community. The three projects listed below are at the top of our priority list this year and we would love your help as we work to create a safe and welcoming space for those we serve. These improvements will help us as we work towards our ultimate goal of sharing the gospel, providing high-quality education and transforming the lives and futures of the children in our community. 

These practical projects are part of our much bigger goal to see God at work here in our community. We are not just painting a building or fixing a roof…we are taking care of what God has given us so that we can serve Him better moving forward. Here are descriptions of the projects we need to do this year in 2023.

1. Replace Dining Hall (Comedor) Roof - $17,000
Our “Comedor” is in desperate need of a new roof. The old one has served us for over 20 years but during the rainy season, we have to stop leaks on an almost weekly basis. The leaks cause rust and destroy the things that get leaked on. This building is at the heart of Agua Viva and serves not only as our kitchen and dining hall but also as our main meeting area and activity center for non-school activities. Everyone knows and loves this building and we need your help to give it the love it needs to continue serving us for another 20 years. 

 

2. Repainting our School and Gym Exteriors - $13,000
We are excited to finally give the school a much-needed “update”. The paint has faded and is peeling off. In the past, we would paint small areas each year to help keep the costs down, but after 5 years with no paint…it desperately needs a whole new coat of paint. We are also excited about the opportunity to give it a new look and some new colors. Our dream is that the campus would be a safe and inviting space while also inspiring creativity and hope for the future. We know that’s a lot of pressure to put on a paint job…but we are excited for the new look and the opportunities it will create to share about what God is doing at Agua Viva. 

 

3. Finish Road Around School - $5,000
Our school now has a lot more traffic than in previous years and it’s time to finish the road that was planned to go around the school. The finished road will help keep a designated driving area and provide traction on the grassy hill where many cars end up sliding on the grass and mud (most cars have bald tires). While not a glamorous project…this will help provide safety and order during pick up and drop off at the school.
